Guess what!! The Selection is trying its best to be made into a movie. For the third time. But they do say that the third time is the charm, so lets keep our fingers crossed. First of all, if you have not read The Selection Series, drop everything and go get them now please! Okay, if you have already read the Selection Series and are an avid fan like me, here are the details. So in the past the CW attempted to adapt the series into a tv show, and really failed, even Cass said so. But now we have another chance, with Katie Lovejoy writing the screen adaptation! Cass says that so far she is “very happy with the direction they’re headed in”. Well if the author is happy, hopefully the fans will be to! I am just crossing my fingers and wishing with all that I have got that this will turn out good!
So there are some authors who have multiple books or series, and I have read all or most of them. There are plenty of authors who may have 2 or 3 series, or 4 or 5, and end up having like 15-20 books out, and I have read em all! There are just some authors who write good stuff! I only had 7 that I had really read a lot of books from, so here they are! So here are my Top Ten Authors that i have read the most books from!!
Rick Riordan-15: Everything that Rick Riordan writes is absolutely amazing. Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, I have read it all, and loved it! I am really looking forward to Magnus Chase as well!!
Tamora Pierce-13: Everything by Tamora Pierce is perfection, enough said!
Ally Carter-9: The Gallagher Girls Series is what really got me into reading when I was in like 5th grade!! I have also loved the Heist Society books and All Fall Down, the first book in the Embassy row series, was really good and I am looking forward to the rest of the books in that series!
Cassandra Clare-9: My favorite series by Cassandra Clare is the Infernal Devices, but I also really enjoyed The Mortal Instruments and The Bane Chronicle!
Shannon Hale-6: I really enjoy how Shannon Hale writes fantasy, it is intriguing and lovely to read!
Nicholas Sparks-6: I just need a little whishy washy romance every once in a while and Nicholas Sparks does it for me!!
Kiera Cass-6: I love Kiera Cass, she is brilliant and amazing!! Everything that she writes has this perfect quality about it!!
So in the industry there have been some AMAZING movie adaptations of books, and there have been some horror shows! So I will be to my Top Twenty books or series that I wish could be made into movies! This is assuming that the movie would be a really good adaptation of the book! Next week I think that I am going to do movies that I wish could be redone! Comment other books that you think should be made it to movies, or if you agree with one!

You can choose two series, if you simply cannot choose just one! Also feel free to add a series if your favorite is not listed!! I am really excited to find out what wins!
Hey Everyone!! I know that I haven’t done this in a while, so this post will include all of the books that I have started, read, finished, or become excited about since the last time I did a Sunday Lowdown! I absolutely recommend ALL of these books!! This is on a Monday, because I got busy, but in the future I will try super hard to get it out on Sundays!
Books I Started:
This book had been really, really good so far!! I cannot talk enough about what a brilliant author Laini Taylor is!!
I just barely started this book, but I am excited about rereading it, because I have only ever read it once, and I think after reading it a second time I will get the subtleties better!!
This is such a classic, amazing book!! I watched the movie and was just gripped by the NEED to read the book!!
Books I Read:
I only read a tiny bit of both of these books, but in the weeks to come I want to dedicate myself to them more, because I really do want to finish them, I just get sidetracked by other books!!
Books I Finished:
I allowed myself one reread over vacation and this was it!! It is such a fast read, and it is soooo good!!
After reading Ruby Red, you simply have to continue on!!
I was really happy with this book!! It was really good and while I may have cried and cursed the author a bit, the way that it ended was satisfying, and I am looking forward to the next book!
I REALLY enjoyed this book!! I love Kiera Cass!! It was brilliant! I have a full review here: https://moriahkaye.wordpress.com/2015/05/23/book-review-the-heir-by-kiera-cass/?preview=true&preview_id=1378&preview_nonce=dd81162289
I LOVE JOHN GREEN!! He has this brilliant way of putting things that has you laughing through your tears!! I am soooo excited for the movie now, and I just cannot recommend this book enough!
This was another book of absolutely EPIC reveals! I would NEVER have expected some of these things to happen! But Robin LaFevers managed to end it all perfectly! I love how this book ties in the characters from the previous books, while providing us with a new voice (and love story)!!
Books I Got Pumped About (And will most likely be starting soon):
This week I had a book fair at my school!! Deep Blue, The Falconer, The Finisher, and Etiquette and Espionage are all my book fair books! I am really pumped to read them!!
Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly:
The Falconer by Elizibeth May:
I really enjoyed I am Number Four, and I am super excited to find out what happens to everyone!!
Princess Eadlyn has grown up hearing endless stories about how her mother and father met. Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon—and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. If it were up to her, she’d put off marriage for as long as possible.
But a princess’s life is never entirely her own, and Eadlyn can’t escape her very own Selection—no matter how fervently she protests.
Eadlyn doesn’t expect her story to end in romance. But as the competition begins, one entry may just capture Eadlyn’s heart, showing her all the possibilities that lie in front of her . . . and proving that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she’s always thought.
My Description and Opinions:
So this book picks up with Maxon and America’s daughter, Eadlyn. She is a twin, but she came into the world just 7 minutes before her brother, so that means that in this new free world that she is the future Queen. But since the castes have been eradicated there has been much more friction than anticipated, and Eadlyn is inheriting more trouble than she bargained for. So to help out her parents by distracting the country, Eadlyn agrees to participate in a Selection.
I absolutely ADORED this book!! I read it in 24 hours and was left hungry for more! Kiera Cass brilliantly wove in our old favorite characters, while adding some amazing, interesting, and down right hot new characters! A male Selection! It was lovely to see what the old characters were up to, May, Lucy and Aspen, Carter and Marlie, and of course America and Maxon! I was very happy with what had happened to all of them and Eadlyn is a WONDERFULL new character! She is everything that you may imagine a princess to be, aloof, arrogant, charming, and a tad scary, but the boys know how to get under her skin to what lies underneath, which is of course wonderfull!!!! She has three brothers, which came off perfect and really worked well with the story! I LOVE the boys that are part of the Selection, the range of personalities, and the fact that in this book you are rooting for your favorite boys, but you are also just rooting for Eadlyn to find love!! Overall everything about this book was really enjoyable, as everything by Keira Cass is!!
“I only have one heart, and I’m saving it.”
“I’m smart and beautiful and strong. I don’t need to be rescued.”
“You can be brave and still be feminine. You can lead and still love flowers. Most importantly, you can be queen and still be a bride.”
“I kept thinking that I couldn’t live my life for other people, that love was nothing but chains. And maybe it was, but so help me, I needed these chains.”
“I couldn’t help but notice it was always this way. At state events or important dinners, Mom was beside Dad or situated right behind him. But when they were just husband and wife—not king and queen—he followed her everywhere.”
“I’m happy, Ahren. I’m a princess. I have everything.”
“I think you’re mistaking comfort for joy.”
“It wasn’t all that long ago that he’d stood where I did, that my mom’s face was one of many in his world. And yet, despite all the impediments and all the time that had passed, they were still deeply in love. It was obvious in everything, from their shared room to the way they fretted over each other to the way they seemed to be incapable of not flirting with each other even after being married so long.”
XOXO ~ Gossip Girl!!
This just came out! I got it yesterday and I am already almost done!! It is so amazing, as this one quote shows!!
There are some things you don’t learn about yourself until you let someone else into the most intimate places of your heart.
Hey Loves! This week I am doing my Top Ten Favorite Authors! I must say at first it was very hard to narrow this down to 10 and it ended up being 13 and I ended up choosing mainly authors that had written more than one book that I have enjoyed! So therefore I highly recommend reading ANYTHING by these authors, because I think you will enjoy it!I have listed the author and then the books that I have read and enjoyed by them, and I also added pictures, because I always think its kind of cool to know what they look like!! If there is a really good author that I missed, tell me about them in the comments!
I love all of her books, and she writes fantasy in such a capturing perfect way, and she puts her own twist on things and it is just lovely! I highly recommend her books to anyone!
I must start by saying that John Green is one of the coolest human beings on the planet! I adored The Fault in our Stars and am getting in to Papertowns, and I just love him! He is just utterly quotable, in and out of his books! And I love him, I just love him!!
Shannon Hale has written a range of different types of stories, and frankly she has rocked at all of them! I recommend all of her books and eagerly await the last installment in the Princess Academy series!
Ally Carter writes about spies and thieves, and she does it perfectly! I started reading the Gallagher Girls series in 6th grade, and I have been able to grow up with her characters, which I think is a very special thing! I also think that she developed as an author throughout her books, and her newest book, All Fall Down was fantastic, and I eagerly await the next book in that series!
This woman is just perfect at writing about strong woman, who keep their strength while they love men, and while they have children, and I just think that that is such a commendable thing in this day and age. Her books also manage to be funny, enthralling and completely enjoyable!
I love Uncle Rick! He writes fabulous books, that are funny and he gives you so many people to ship, but he still makes it perfect, and lovely and although he did (SPOILER ALERT) throw Percy and Annabeth into Tartarus, the fact that he made Percy and Annabeth makes it all okay!
I have only read one book by this brilliant author, and for that book I commend her with every part of my soul because it was sooooo good!! I am scared to read any of her other books, because some people have told me they aren’t as good, but for The Scorpio Races, this woman deserves a spot in my Top Ten Authors!
I LOVE THIS WOMAN! First of all she is a fabulous human being and second of all she writes these thought-provoking, tear provoking, crazy novels that I ADORE!!!! I hang on to every singles word she writes and I just love her soooooo much!
I loved this series, it is light and perfect and gives you the most intense butterflies and makes you cry and it’s just so good! She created Gideon, who may be the best male lead EVER! And Gweneth, who is just fabulous! And time travel is such an interesting concept and she navigates it and explains it with ease!
This woman created Magnus Bane and Will and Jace Herondale and Tessa Gray and for that I will love her forever! I love how her characters talk about books, especially in The Infernal Devices and I LOVE the epic humor that is throughout all of her books! I also love Simon, and she tries to kill him all the time, but I love how she ends it with him!
I read Eleanor and Park by this woman, and then I became obsessed!! Fangirl and Eleanor and Park are my favorites but I thoroughly enjoyed Landline as well. I just completely connected with Eleanor and Cath, and it was just perfect, everything about all of her books are simply perfect! I can quote her for days at a time because she is just soooooo fabulous!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! That is what I feel for all of her books! Again she writes strong characters that love strongly and are perfect! I love the themes of her books and how she spaced them perfectly and still had them connect!
I loved this series, the main character had a blog, there are aliens and love and its just perfect and she writes VERY well!
Everyone knows the feeling of waiting for the next book in a series or by an author to come out! So these are the Top Ten Books that I am looking forward to! Some of them are the next installment in a series and some are books that I just happened across and am excited for!
